About Us

Blessings Life Foundation Trust – A Brief History

In a small corner of Chennai, a man named Mr. Jacob dedicated his entire life to serving the poor. He walked through villages, visited struggling families, comforted the elderly, and supported children who had no hope. His kindness crossed caste, religion, and social barriers. People saw him not just as a social worker, but as a guiding light.

When he suddenly passed away due to a heart attack, the shock united people from every community. Crowds gathered not out of obligation, but out of genuine love for the man who had touched their lives. His dream of helping humanity could not end with him—and his son, Dr. Ravi Jacob, knew this more than anyone else. With a heart full of purpose, Dr. Ravi Jacob  established the Blessings Life Foundation Trust in 2006. The Trust was inaugurated by Mr. P.Sivasankaran, I.A.S secretary, Government of Tamil Nadu marking the beginning of a journey dedicated to compassion.

The Trust started small—just a few evening tuition centers in rural Kancheepuram and Chengalpattu. But the dream grew. Soon, a Community College rose, giving nearly 60 students each year the chance to learn vocational skills and build a career they once thought impossible. In Kanyakumari district, the Trust began selecting students who could not study beyond the 12th grade and trained them in medical-related vocational courses, opening doors to a brighter future.

As the Trust expanded its reach, healthcare became a major mission. With the support of Dr. Rajaram, over 10,000 children received medical check-ups and treatments. Schools in Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, and Kanyakumari welcomed the Trust’s teams for health camps, drug-free awareness programs, and environmental education.

Meanwhile, in the peaceful village of Thazhakudy, under Thovalai Panchayat, a new dream took shape—a Native Livestock Care and Testing Center. Here, indigenous animal breeds are protected, tested, and nurtured. Farmers visit the center with hope, receiving guidance, support, and knowledge to protect their heritage breeds.

The Trust’s hands extended further—tree-planting drives, road safety campaigns, organic agriculture awareness, and support for women’s self-help groups in Marakkanam. Through the “Lovely Good” initiative, elderly people, children, and underprivileged families receive food, clothing, and essential supplies. For the past 20 years, students from distant rural areas have found a home in the Trust’s free hostel, along with evening tuition centers and day-care safety centers for the elderly.

Through every activity, every program, and every smile, the spirit of Mr. Jacob lives on. Under the steady leadership of Dr. Ravi Jacob, the Blessings Life Foundation Trust continues its journey—spreading hope, touching lives, and carrying forward a legacy built on love, compassion, and humanity.
